But by stopping the production of this enzyme, they showed that the growth can be slowed down and even reversed. The hope is to effectively do so by using a trial obesity drug called STO 609 which they found inhibits the enzyme and essentially starves the cancer cells. However, the new drug would not be seen as a cure as yet but rather a management.

“Prostate cancer is a slow growing cancer and if you can slow it down even further you can turn it from a fatal condition to a chronic one that can be managed.” Dr. Mill said in the published work, giving hope to over 36,000 men who are affected each year in managing the disease. But he was optimistic about further possible inroads into treating the form of cancer. “[...] importantly we’ve shown that blocking one of these genes will starve the cancer cells of vital nutrients – and reduce tumour size and spread of the disease. More research to understand how prostate cancer cells generate could open up new routes to detect and treat the disease.”

Dr Lesley Walker director of Cancer Research UK greeted the new research with equal optimism and commented on its value. “This important study shows that investigating the way prostate cancer cells use and generate energy could provide a promising new route to search for ways to detect and treat the disease.” she said.

qwzaromxsazweadfasd adsaemacxa

Obesity in Australians

A decade ago, only less than 500 people are suffering gastric banding or a similar procedure.
As the nation becomes fatter the demand for surgery has increased.

The number is expected to keep rising, with weight problems affecting 68 per cent of men and 55 per cent of women.

While more men were overweight, almost four in five weight loss operations were for women - 13,300 compared with just 3700.

The most common weight loss procedure is laparoscopic gastric banding, accounting for 72 per cent of all procedures in 2007-08, a report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare found.

It said the bulk of surgery was performed in private hospitals, but more surgeons in the public system were being trained and offering the operations.

Start of sidebar. may become part of the treatment of patients with HF and obesity if there are no major contraindications for the surgery — and that this might be especially important for patients with significant obesity,” Francisco Lopez-Jiminez, MD, said in a press release.

The study results were presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2010.

Lopez-Jiminez cautioned, however, that because the study tested the effects of bariatric surgery on just 13 patients, “these results should be considered preliminary and suggestive of some benefit, but additional research is needed to confirm these results.”

It appears that cardiologists do not often refer obese patients with HF for bariatric surgery, despite statistics showing that one-third of HF patients are obese, Lopez-Jiminez said.

The researchers reviewed the outcomes of 13 patients, aged 44 to 64 years, who underwent bariatric surgery at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota between 1990 and 2005, as well as six HF patients, aged 52 to 72, who were followed at the Mayo Nutrition Clinic and did not receive the surgery.

In the group that received surgery, the mean BMI was 53, and in the comparison group, it was 42. After 4 years of follow-up, the mean BMI dropped in the surgery group to 37 and rose in the comparison group to 45.

Based on patient surveys, the researchers found that quality of life was significantly improved in those who received weight-loss surgery, compared with HF patients who did not. Researchers also determined that symptoms such as swelling in the legs and labored breathing during exercise improved only in the surgery group.

Lopez-Jimenez said that the health advantages seen in the patients who had bariatric surgery occurred even though most remained obese.

“These patients had very advanced levels of obesity before the surgery, and although they lost significant amounts of weight, most remained obese. So, these good results suggest that the benefit does not require patients to reach a normal weight,” he said.

Obesity Surgery Specialists

You’ve tried every diet and nothing seems to work. You know your health is at risk but you can’t see to find the cure. Obesity is at epidemic proportions and bariatric surgery has become an accepted form of weight loss within the medical community. Now, that acceptance extends to teenagers.

Brittany Lewis, 18, tried everything. At just under 300 pounds she never left the house. She even thought hard about not attending college, afraid people would stare at her.

After months of nutritional and psychological analysis a team of medical experts at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital determined surgery was Brittany’s only option.

Do the health risks really outweigh the risks of surgery? Should teens as young as 13 even have the option of surgery?

News 4 talked to surgeons and nutritionists at Washington University School of Medicine and you’ll hear from the first teen in our area to have the surgery.

Source: kmov

Reduce Obesity – Drive Bike Cycle

Give confidence your child to play outdoor Games. One of the best physical activities you can let your child do is ride a bike cycle. Following are benefits of learning how to ride a bike cycle.

It will help them with their sense of balance. Learning how to ride a bike will encourage your child to learn balance. This does not only pertain to biking per se, but also in life. Once a child learns a sense of balance, this will help him in real life when he is presented with choices.

It will encourage your child to be fit. Once this has become a habit, your child will love physical activities that he will carry this habit with him when he grows older. His love for exercise will never fade.

Your child will develop his hand and eye coordination and motor skills.

It will instill a sense of self-confidence. Learning something at a young age and excelling in it will boost the child's self-confidence which he will carry as he grows older.

As parents, we need to make every effort in preventing the development of child obesity. This can greatly affect the child's confidence as he grows up. He will be the center of ridicule in school and anywhere he goes. Other kids will tease him and this will also cause emotional and psychological stress on the child.

Hispanic Children Are Genetically Predisposed To Developing Fatty Liver Disease

Los Angeles, Calif - Two studies from the Childhood Obesity Research Center at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) have found evidence that Hispanic children and adolescents are genetically predisposed to developing fatty liver disease--a condition that can lead to cirrhosis, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

The studies, recently published in the journals Diabetes and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that Hispanic children who carry the PNPLA3 gene variant (GG) have increased liver fat. Children who carry the variant are also more susceptible to developing liver fat when consuming a high sugar diet.

Previous research has shown that Hispanics are particularly susceptible to the accumulation of fat in the liver, and reports suggest that nearly four of 10 obese Hispanic children and adolescents have nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

"Collectively these findings demonstrate that Hispanics are genetically susceptible to the negative health effects of high sugar consumption, and that this effect is manifested early in life," said Principal Investigator Michael I. Goran, professor of preventive medicine, physiology and biophysics and pediatrics, and director of the USC Childhood Obesity Research Center at the Keck School of Medicine. "This is a major public health concern, especially in the face of massive marketing of sugary beverages to children."

The researchers conducted cross-sectional studies of more than 300 Hispanic youth (ages 8-18) in the Los Angeles area, using metabolic, diet and genetic measures. They found that GG carriers have almost double the amount of liver fat content as non-carriers. The effects are strongest in Hispanics because the frequency of the variant is much higher (49%) than in whites (23%) or African Americans (17%), said Jaimie Davis, assistant professor of preventive medicine at the Keck School of Medicine, and a lead author on the studies.

The findings suggest that obese Hispanic children with the variant have an increased capacity for fat storage and decreased hepatic lipid mobilization (breakdown of stored fats), among those whose diets are high in sugar, she said.

Sugar intake is high among youth in Los Angeles, and accounts for nearly half of all daily carbohydrate intake and 25 percent of energy intake. However, because the link between high sugar diets and liver fat accumulation was only evident among children who had the GG variant, the findings could have important implications for treating NAFLD, Davis said.

"Specific dietary interventions based on the genetic predisposition may lead to more effective therapeutic outcomes in children with fatty liver disease," she said. "I think the studies really highlight the need to test such diet and genotyping interventions."

The work done by Dr. Goran and his team is at the interface of personalized and community health, said D. Brent Polk, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Pediatrics and director of the Saban Research Institute at the Keck School of Medicine and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

"While we know that this genetic variant is overrepresented in Hispanic people, the findings help us identify individuals with increased susceptibility to worse disease," he said. "Now we can ask does early intervention in this group prevent their progression to the complications of fatty liver disease?"

The studies were supported by the National Institute of Cancer, University of Southern California Center for Transdisciplinary Research on Energetics and Cancer, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the Minority Research Center of Excellence, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the Dr. Robert C. and Veronica Atkins Foundation, the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, and the MGM Mirage Fund at the University of Southern California.

Mental effect by Obesity in Children

A new report that studied over 1,000 children has found that those who are obese may suffer from poorer mental health than their peers, according to The Province.

These issues had a wide range of consequences, from mental to emotional.

1/3 of children who were normal weight were found to have sleeping problems, while 48 percent of overweight youngsters had the problem. Headaches were another common discomfort for obese kids, affecting 43 percent of the group.

Overweight children even appeared to be more prone to anger and fighting than their peers.

"There are some good data out there that show connections between stress and being overweight," Kathryn Henderson, a clinical psychologist, told the news provider.

One of the other noticeable trends was that obese children generally resorted to eating when they felt overwhelmed, while other kids tried to manage their stress with sports. However, both groups had one thing in common – they were prone to a sedentary lifestyle in front of a screen.

Parents may want to encourage children to go outdoors by participating in fun activities with them. But today's example from USA Today just might take the cake (so to speak):

The more obese friends you have, the more likely you are to become obese, a new study suggests. This confirms previous research that gaining weight may be socially contagious.

The research also shows that if nothing changes significantly in the environment and culture in the USA, about 42% of adults will be obese in about 40 years and then the obesity rate will level off. ...

"We find that having four obese friends doubled people's chance of becoming obese compared to people with no obese friends," says Alison Hill, the study's lead author and a Harvard researcher.

Yes, Harvard University is now pushing the canard that obesity is contagious, like pink eye or the flu. Incredibly, a previous Harvard study published in 2007 found the exact same "results."

The ludicrous idea of obesity as a social contagion, of course, lends support to the notion that we should treat it as a “disease.” Does this mean we have an obesity plague? Should we quarantine obese people? Divide restaurants into "obese" and "non-obese" sections? Let people take "fat days" off from work? We're just spitballing here.

One of the study's researchers admits: "Of course, other lifestyle factors, such as diet and physical activity, have a huge impact on weight gain." But those factors could have easily been figured out by people who don't have access to huge research grants. Common sense doesn’t require a Ph.D.
Source:Skinny People Have Fat Friends Too

Overweight Increase Sense of Smell

Hey dieters — if your weight-loss plan doesn’t seem to be working out, perhaps it is time to invest in some clothespins for your nose.

A new study published in the journal Chemical Senses has found that a heightened sense of smell is linked to being overweight, and researchers speculate this is because it makes food seem more appealing, which encourages people to eat more.

According to the Telegraph, the scientists set out to determine if feeling hungry or full had an impact on how our sense of smell works. The study found that people were more sensitive to the smell of food when they were full, instead of when they were famished. But when it came for other smells — the opposite was true. More research found that people with higher BMIs were more sensitive to food-related smells than participants with lower BMIs.

Dr Lorenzo Stafford, who works in the University of Portsmouth’s Department of Psychology, tested 64 participants between the ages of 18 and 49. He used the smell of cooking herbs and gradually diluted the odour until the participants were unable to detect the scent.

Dr. Stafford told the Telegraph that they have yet to figure out why people with higher BMIs have such a keen sense of food-related smell.

Resource:Being overweight linked to sense of smell: study

Reason for Obesity

Let me tell you about the current obesity rates in the UK. It is unexpectedly high as more than 30% of children are categorized as obese (having BMI>30), 24% of adults are near to being obese and 23% of women are obese. In this country more than 50% of people are overweight. Health analysts in the UK are advising for obesity control measures before it goes out of control.

A single person needs around 1500-2200kcal/day to remain fit and but an obese person can eat more than 3000kcal/day. This is the minimum energy intake by any obese adult. Let’s make more simple analysis on overweight people in the UK. The estimated total population of UK is 60,975,000 out of which about 30-35% population approximately is under overweight scanner, so total overweight population including children is 18,292,500(min). The total extra amount of kcal/day consumed by UK overweight people would be 18,292,500 x 1500 kcal = 27,438,750,000 kcal/day.

Guess what does it mean? There were 923 million hungry people in the world in 2007, an increase of 80 million since 1990, despite the fact that the world already produces enough food to feed everyone - 6 billion people - and could feed double - 12 billion people. Where is the extra amount of food? We are consuming, and overweight people are consuming. So, there is a strong need to make our population healthy, free from overweight and obesity problems.
I have listed some important weight loss tips below:

• Xenical (orlistat) - Xenical is an FDA approved prescription medicine for obesity treatment. It works in the digestive system of the body and reduces the fat adsorption there. It blocks about 30% of dietary fats from getting absorbed in the body. During normal bowel movements, these undigested fats pass out of the body. Xenical is prescribed to people with BMI value more than 25. You can buy Xenical from xenicalorlistat.co.uk online with FREE home delivery and FREE online consultancy. Remember, Xenical is not for pregnant women or teenagers who are below 18 years of age

• Alli – Alli is also an FDA approved medicine for weight loss. Alli and Xenical are same however, the only difference lies in orlistat content. Alli contains 60mg of orlistat.
• Reduce eating habit –eating food at a fixed time daily is considered good for health, but it’s also better to eat when you are hungry. Eat when hunger will make you more depend on stomach rather than mind.

• Lifestyle habits- Going to your office by car, going school by bus and playing indoor games never help you lose weight. Minimize the use of luxury, as it plays an important role in boosting obesity. You should instead exercise daily for about 15-30 min. Obesity is considered more of a lifestyle problem than any medical condition. If you modify your lifestyle habits, obesity can easily go away.

• Eat healthy food instead of snacks like chocolates, biscuits and cake that contain huge amount of unsaturated fats. In this article, we discuss about obesity and overweight problems among adults.
Obesity can be measured mainly with the help of two methods - Body Mass Index (BMI) and Waist Circumference.
The BMI of an adult is measured by dividing his or her weight in kilograms with height in meters squared (kg/m2). There is a pre-defined BMI table, which tells about your obesity levels.
If your BMI value is:
• Under 18.5, then you are classified as underweight
• between18.5- 25, then you are of normal healthy body weight
• between 25-30, then you are an overweight adult
• 30 or above, then you are an obese adult
• 40 or above, then are classified as morbidly obese
Although BMI allows for differences in height, it does not differentiate between mass due to body fat and mass due to muscular physique. Therefore, waist circumference is also a widely accepted appraise used to recognize those with a health risk from being overweight. A raised waist circumference is defined 120cm in men and greater than 88cm in women.
Possible causes of Obesity:
• Irregular life style
• Unhealthy eating habits
• Psychological factors like Stress
• More intake of junk food like chocolates, snacks and biscuits
• Genetically factors
• Lack of physical exercise
• Unawareness about unhealthy diet

Risks of Obesity
• High blood pressure
• Diabetes
• Stroke and cancer
• Heart failure
• Kidney failure
Prescription Medicine for treating Obesity:
Xenical: Xenical is an effective treatment for obesity. It contains 120mg of orlistat, which is its main active ingredient. Unlike other prescription medicine that work as appetite suppressants and have direct connection with brain, Xenical works in our digestive system to block 30% of food that we eat. Weight loss with Xenical and a healthy diet also improves a number of weight- related health risks.
• Decreases total and LDL cholesterol
• Reduce blood pressure
• Minimize the levels of insulin
• Reduce the risk or delay the progression of type 2 diabetes
Who can take Xenical? Xenical is a prescription medicine that is available in all licensed pharmacies in the UK. It is also available online. It is not recommended for use among pregnant women and children less than 18 years of age.
Like all prescription medicines, Xenical Orlistat has also some side effects like oily stools, oily discharge, gas or flatulence, loose stools, vomiting nausea, and repeated bowel movements. It is always recommended to take prescription from a doctor before using it. You may buy xenical for obesity treatment from xenicalorlistat.co.uk
Alli: Alli is a new treatment for obesity. It is a reduced strength version of Xenical. Each tablet of Xenical contains 120mg of orlistat.

Working of Xenical: Xenical works in digestive system to block near about 35% of the fat in the food you eat from being digested. Lipases helps to break down fat which we eat, orlistat attaches itself with lipases and blocks them from breaking down some of the fat we have eaten. This undigested fat is eliminated through your bowel movements. By this technique Xenical Orlisat helps in blocking about 33% of the fat we eat from being absorbed by our body.

Side Effects of Xenical: Every medicine has some side effects. An additional 22% of men and 23% of women are obese (BMI more than 30kg/m2).

I have created a graph that shows overall number of men and women as overweight and obese. This graph states that more than 60% of men are either overweight or obese and very interestingly women are less overweight than men. It sounds really cool.

It’s expected that more than 12 million adults and 1 million children may become obese by 2010. Government agencies predict that one-third of men will be obese by 2010. However, don’t get confused by terms overweight and obese.
With an increasing age, obesity among people also increases dynamically. I have another graph below that unveils the truth about obesity. Government report said that 27% of men and 31% of women in the age group 16-24 years are classified as overweight or obese, in comparison to age group 55-64 years, in which 79% of men and 71% of women are classified as overweight or obese. So, it’s quite clear now how obesity levels are increasing in the UK.

How to avoid Childhood Obesity

Children who are overweight have high risk of developing serious health problem at a later stage. Risks of life include stroke, diabetes, heart attack and high blood pressure. This risk of life increases as person become more obese. Not only obesity causes physical harassment, but obese people face psychological distress. The number of obese children all over the world has increased dynamically in last 20 years. Obesity is now become major health concern.

What should be the ideal weight for child?

It is not difficult to know whether your child is obese or not. Parents are confused whether their child is “puppy fatty” or obese. A child is obese if his or her Body Mass Index (BMI) is more than 25% for boy and 32% for girl.

Possible cure for childhood obesity

1. Healthy diet

• “Starchy” foods like bread, potatoes, pasta, rice and chapatti provides half of the energy to a child. These nitrous foods contain rich “complex carbohydrates” that are best suitable for a child. Parents who are concerned about their child’s weight encourage them to eat starchy food.
• Fresh fruits, crusty bread instead of high fat foods like chocolates, biscuits, cake and crisps.
• Healthier breakfast with low sugar
• Fruits are better alternative compared to sweets and ice cream.
• Fizzy drinks are dangerous to health as they contain high in sugar.

2. Eating habits

• Children have the habit of eating food while watching TV. Don’t allow child to eat while watching TV.
• Have proper meals at regular time rather than munching for the whole day.
• Make time schedule for eating.
• Make them aware of, How to chew food?

3. Physical Activity

• It is recommended that daily exercise is must,
• Encourage child to walk daily to school in spite of going through car.
• Make them aware of outdoor games and play with child.
Know more about obesity and buy xenical for obesity treatment for adults:

Reason for children obesity

Parents of obese child have to become more concern about their child weight. A survey said that adults those are obese in child hood have greater chance of heart problem, high blood pressure, diabetes problem later on age. Children of age group between 2-15 and BMI greater than 25 are categories in the overweight. It is true that not all obese infants baby becomes obese children and not all children become obese adults. There are numerous factors that contribute in obesity of child. Children do not prefer to go school by walking or cycling, they are driven by bus or parents. This decrease daily exercise of children and makes them little lazier.

Following are the main causes of childhood obesity

1. Bad eating habit: children had changes their taste of food eating junk food that contains high percentage of fat and carbohydrates. Junk food increases the risk of obesity in the child.

2. Sleep depression: late night sleep watching movie, playing computer games gives child a little sleep and this causes obesity. Sleep depression is one of the main contributors in obese child.

3. Lack of physical activity: I have mentioned above about living lifestyle in UK and US make children lacking in physical activity. Increasing technology in computer and graphics brings latest computer games that encourage children to play computer games over night. Children are losing interest in outdoor games. Outdoor games provide enough physical activity needed for a child.

4. Parental fatness: In some circumstance parental fatness comes in contributor’s factor for obese in the child. It may be possible that children parents are fatty and hence children are overweight too.
An analysis has examined that risk of children obesity are social factor, birth weight, and dietary factors their behavioral or psychological factors.

Buy xenical for obesity treatment

Contribution of Food items in Daily Life

Dietary Energy supply is correlated with the rate of Obesity. Study conducted in 1979-1981 found that average energy consumption in UK and US was 3170kcal/day and 3180kcal/day respectively. In 2001-2003 energy consumed per day in UK and US rises to 3440 and 3770kcal/day respectively. People living in UK and US where much better than today people living there. Why 30% people are obese in both countries? Simple reason behind this is extra intake of calories than normal intake.
I will show you some report that describe you, our daily consumed food in home per person.

Graph show Grams per person per week in 2005-2006

Survey conducted in UK and we got that average weekly expenditure on food and drinks (excluding alcohol) are £20.91 per person. It is quite clear from report that we are really very much dependent on soft drinks. Report conducted in 2005-2006 well proves how much we are dependent upon soft drinks.

Main Food contributes to daily energy intake among Adults in UK only.

The 2000/2001 repots shows that the contribution of different food types to average daily energy intakes among adults. Potatoes and savoury snacks consumption in UK is quite 9%, cereals and creal products wins the race with 31% , milk and milk products decreases its ratio in recent decade with remain at 10%. No vegetables like meat and its product have good contribution in repot with 15%.

How much we take calories

Average intake of energy of human being aged between 19-25 years varies from 1800-2500 calories daily. What will happen if calories intake lowered from this level. I don’t need to define popular term “Obesity”. But I would like to clear it to you; Obesity is simply a disease because of extra fat in your body.
From repot it is found that every obese person’s intake is 4 times greater than normal person intake of calories. It means that an obese person will take around 1800-2500* 4= 7200 – 10000 of calories. Is anybody aware how much calories is there in one egg: - I will tell you, one egg contains approx 80 calories of energy i.e. a single obese person can take 90 to 125 eggs daily. So, how much you are going to invest in 125 eggs daily? It will be 5- 10 £ daily in a day.
Now I will show you some more interesting statistics. In 2005/06 the average weekly spending on food and drink (not including alcohol) brought home, in the UK, was £20.91 per candidate, while spending on food and drink (not including alcohol) eaten out was £7.79. Between 1995 and 2005/06, overall spending on food and non-alcoholic drink had climbed by 8.6% in real terms mainly due to increased spending on eating out, which increased by 43% in real terms.
This report shows the increase in expenditure of food.
In my next post I will discuss about how much we eat and the percentage of food items participating to boost our energy.

Report On Obesity

Report on obesity may Surprise you but it’s true. I have mentioned the range of normal waist size in previous post.

By evaluating both BMI and waist circumference we can asses risk of health problems, around 20% were estimated to be at increased risk , 13% at high risk and 21% at very high risk.
Running in parallel to men, women are 14% at increased risk, 16 % at high risk and 23% at very high risk.
If we talk about children obesity in 2006, 16% of children aged 2 to 15 were obese.
You can imagine how obesity has surrounded our country.

Measure Obesity by BMI

Simplest definition for obesity is extra weight in your body. Gathering of fat is known as obesity that increases risk of diseases and brings to an end of life earlier in stage. I have already discussed in previous post about Risks of Obesity. Obesity may be distributed around the body or concentrate on the stomach or hips and thighs.

We can determine our obesity through BMI ratio. BMI is body mass index. Doctors use BMI to evaluate your mass against height. There is specific result for good healthy body.

Slandered Ratio: to measure Obesity

BMI ratio

Status

Under 18

Underweight

18.5-25

Normal

25- less than 30

Overweight

30 over

Obese

40 and more

Morbidly obese

How BMI is calculated?

Weight your body

Measure your height

Multiply twice your height

Divide mass to calculated height

The result is BMI

Example: My weight is 80Kg and height 172cm Convert 172cm to meter i.e. 1.72m, next multiply height twice we get 1.72*1.72= 2.95.

And BMI= Mass/2.95

So, BMI= 80/2.95=27.11kg/m2

The result shows that I am overweight.

BMI shows the difference in weight, it does not differentiates the difference between mass due to body fat and mass due to muscular physique, or the distribution of fat. Therefore, waist circumference is also widely well-known measure used to recognize the obesity. A raised waist circumference is defined as greater than 102cm in men and greater than 88cm in women.

I have a source of online clinic which provides free consultation

Risks of Obesity

Hi Guy’s
How you all doing?
I have some special news to all of you especially those who are obese. People are gaining excess body weight primarily due to irregular lifestyle and unhealthy eating choices. This excess body weight can be calculated with the help of a BMI (body mass index), which is a ratio of weight in kilograms and height in meters squared. Doctors also refer to the obesity measure while diagnosing their patients.

The trends of obesity have grown in the recent years. In the past there were less cases of obesity as compared to the present times. In the developed countries like the UK, US, and many European countries, children are also getting exposed to the obesity. Statistics reveal that every 3 rd child under 14 years of age is obese, every four women are suffering from obesity, and every 5th person is overweight. I have listed some of the major causes of Obesity.

Eating fat-laden foods like chocolates, snacks and biscuits.
If you really care about your health and want to lose some extra weight, then you have to avoid chocolates, snacks and biscuits. I am not forcing you but restrict their intake to the minimum. Snacks contain more fat than you think, almost 50%. So, the best way is to stick to natural and whole some diet. I know it can be tough, but you can do it, as health is the real wealth.

Food choices and eating habits :
During the past decade, people have turned more towards fast food. The favorite choice of most of the children is fast food, which is considered as unhealthy food. Sugary food contain enormous amount of fat and increases mass of the body.

    Life style :
Your living life style plays an important role in maintaining your health. You can’t predict how much it effects. Have you ever seen a man who works hard and walks more than 5 km a day, eats simple food, don’t smoke becoming overweight. Such chances are rare; unlike a patient has some medical condition. I am not telling you to leave your luxury room, walk to office daily and quit smoking all of a sudden. These things can come slowly to your life. It’s better to turn towards active lifestyle and making healthy eating choices.

Psychological issues and Stress:
Study says that 9-10% people are obese because of psychological issues and mental stress. Some adult children have a difficult time dealing with stress, so they overeat. Many children are prone to eating in response to negative emotions like being bored, feeling anxious or being angry.

   Genetics:
Child hood obesity is a big problem. It has been found that Genetics and DNA are good contributing factors for causing obesity. However, a simple and regular exercise can help your child to become normal.

     Lack of Exercise:
Do you exercise regularly? I know most of the people would say NoJ. But if you want to lose weight, then there are no short cuts for it. You have to continue with regular regimens of fitness and combining it with healthy diet.

These are the main causes of obesity. You may agree that most of these can be solved by putting in some positive efforts. Why don’t we start it from today and maintain healthy body weight!
